Why organic, what is the fuss?

I soon realised once I became a parent that I will be spending allot of money on our exciting new arrival. There are so many things that we needed (or wanted shall we say) to buy it was difficlut deciding

It makes sense that you want to keep the costs down when it comes to what your baby wears, especially since you will soon get used to changing them frequently throughout the day. However, the truth is quite the opposite.

Rather than buying a piece with no traceability or purpose, it is a much better idea to invest in what they wear. Not sure that you believe us? Here is why we think it is worthwhile investing in organic cotton for your child.

Organic cotton is environmentally friendly

We need to not only take care of our children, but we also need to make sure that we take care of the planet for their future too. This means that we should be aware of how we can reduce our carbon footprints. It is hard to do; however, sometimes, it is the smallest steps to bring about the biggest changes.

Buying organic cotton is much kinder to our environment. It is produced in a way that reduces the use of harsh chemicals, but it is also farmed in a way that will help with the battle against climate change.

It is ideal for their sensitive skin

Children have skin and this means that anything you put on their skin or put them in to wear needs to be gentle. Organic cotton is incredibly soft, which means that you don’t have to worry about whether or not it will irritate them and cause them some discomfort.

It is long-lasting

Children do grow (and pretty quickly at that), but this doesn’t mean that you have to give in to the idea of fast fashion just because they will grow out of it in a few months. More often than not, when you buy kids clothes, you will find that they start to degrade before you are ready to pack them away.

When you buy organic cotton, you are making sure that the clothes you have bought will stand the test of time. They may end up lasting longer than you need them, which means that you can pass them onto someone else.

When you think about all these things, as well as the fact that organic cotton baby clothes are also insanely cute for your little one, it makes sense that you are going to want to invest in something that is not only best for your baby but also a great idea for you too.
